English Introduction
The CMP21 solar radiation sensor, manufactured by Kipp&Zonen, is a high-performance research-grade instrument widely used in meteorological networks and extreme environments for solar radiation measurement. It features a high-quality blackened thermopile detector protected by two glass domes, capable of measuring solar radiation across the full solar spectrum. The sensor has a spectral range of 285 to 2800 nm, with a sensitivity of 7 to 14 µV/W/m² and a maximum irradiance capacity of 4000 W/m². The CMP21 is equipped with an internal thermistor for individually optimized temperature compensation, ensuring that the temperature dependence of sensitivity remains below 1% within the -20°C to 50°C range. Additionally, it offers fast response times, with 95% of the final value achieved in less than 5 seconds, and low directional and non-linearity errors, both below 0.2%, to provide highly accurate measurements. The sensor also includes an integrated bubble level and adjustable leveling screws for easy installation and leveling. With an IP67 protection rating, the CMP21 can operate reliably in extreme temperatures ranging from -40°C to 80°C.
